Franco had this diamond from his grandmother, in an heirloom piece of jewelry which was missing stones.
Franco's wife, Suzanne, has very understated taste. This was a challenge because the stone needed something to make the proportions fit the ring. The traditional way to go would be a halo setting with more diamonds, but that is just not Suzanne's taste.
Instead, to give the tiny diamonds the feeling of being larger, and fitting the proportions of the ring, we created this minimalist frame. The overall look is perfect, being still understated, and at the same time substantial.
