Water is astonishingly powerful. Most of the earth is covered in it, and our own bodies are made mostly of water. Yet in so many ways we just take the power of water for granted. This Ocean necklace was first inspired in Nantucket, seeing a whale jump from the sea, and the water lit in the sun. I knew I wanted to make the ocean into jewelry, but it's so huge, it covers the earth, how would I capture the beauty and power? It took me several months of doodling, and I finally captured the feeling in necklaces and earrings, and now ocean rings, too.
Wearing ocean jewelry reminds us to choose our battles, to go with the flow, and to take back our power by following the natural harmony of the universe. What is, is, right?
