Water is astonishingly powerful, yet so often taken for granted.. It surrounds and inhabits us, covering most of the earth, and our own bodies are made mostly of water.
The Ocean Jewelry was first inspired in Nantucket, seeing a jumping whale. The drops of splashing water were lit in the sunlight. I knew then that I wanted to make the ocean into jewelry, but it's so huge, it covers the earth, how would I capture the beauty and power? It took me several months and I finally captured the feeling in necklaces, earrings, and now rings, too.
