Carol gave this painting to my father in the early 1970's, and he gave it to me soon after- kind of a family affair.  Now it can be yours. It's very peaceful looking-especially the little house almost hidden in the trees.  Beautiful shades of greens and golden yellows.

Note: The frame is not in perfect condition (see photos).  It's splitting at the corners- but still works fine to hang on a wall.  Let me know if you want me to have it re-framed for you.

Carol Kardon lives in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania near Philadelphia. She is a native of Mt. Vernon, NY, and holds BA from Bennington College, where she studied stage design. In addition she has a MS in Education from Temple University. She attended Barnes Foundation in Merion, PA as well University of Pennsylvania School of Fine Arts. She has participated in workshops given by Albert Handell and Wolff Kahn.

Her paintings have been entered in many national and regional juried exhibitions over the years and have received more than twenty awards. She exhibits regularly at the Salmagundi Club in NYC and the Philadelphia Sketch Club in Philadelphia. She is currently associated with Summa Gallery, New York, NY Carspecken-Scott Gallery, Wilmington, DE and Cooper Gallery, Lewisburg, WV. She works both in oil and pastel and her subject matter is landscapes and still life. She particular enjoys in Plein-aire.

Her paintings hang in numerous corporations, public and private collections. Her work was included in 1996 Included in Best of Pastel, Rockport Publishers, Rockport, MA and 1999 Included in Best of Sketching and Drawing, Rockport Publishers, Rockport, MA. She is a signature member of Member of Pastel Society of America.

She has taught for over twenty years at the Main Line Art Center, Haverford, PA, Wayne Art Center, Wayne, PA, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and on Cunard Line cruise ships including the Queen Elizabeth.

Art residencies include The Pew Foundation at Vermont Studio, The Millay Colony, Hambidge Center and Artists for the Environment. She has over thirty awards including People’s Choice Award 33rd Annual Open Juried Exhibition for Pastels only.
