Original sculpture bought by me in Mombasa, Kenya. The tall, slim Maasai people with their resistance to changing their traditional lifestyle, ironically, might outlast us all. Their nomadic culture and ability to farm in many situations might make them uniquely adaptable to climate change.
The two sculptures really look nice together. If you just want one, they are $120 each.
One thing I should admit, of all the fascinating things about the Maasai, I can't help but be tickled at how they are depicted with round tummies which stick out, like a real tunny does! Whew - no more sucking it in!
