Wonders within adversity
As an arrow pulled back to fly freely ahead.
In flight we can’t reverse to be
A bell un-rung or words unsaid.
The advice is courage in crisis,
Each small kindness and caring stands tall
Have grace to make others feel graceful,
Use power to empower all.
Arrows have so much symbolism. Two of my favorites are (1) remembering that for the arrow to fly forward, it must first be pulled back, just as the stresses and challenges in our lives prepare us to fly forward. And (2) It's also important to remember that once an arrow is in flight, it can't be recalled. In the same way, words can't be un-said or deeds un-done. Reminder: always be careful and kind.
