This doll has certainly seen better days. See the photo, the back of the dress is crumbling. The thing is that my mom has saved this for at least 50 years if it came from an old friend who passed in the 1960's, and she saved it for over 90 years. I am not a doll expert, but I am thinking that it is from the early 1900's, and that the face and hands might be what is called 'composition' although I am just researching on line so can't be sure. If you are a collector and would like to have, maybe repair, this doll, just let me know. I priced at $18 because that is a good luck number.
